Yes a Post

So its been a while since Kasi and I have been on here.  Its one of those things that can slip your mind easily if you are not thinking about it.  Hopefully this will be a new beginning here to keep all of you updated with what is going on in Kansas.  After the wedding Kasi and I honeymooned in Hawaii which is one of the coolest place on Earth.  After that we came back to the real world and continued the day to day life.  I started looking for a house which took some time because Kasi and I had different opinions on what we wanted.  After about 3 months and what seemed like 3 dozen houses we finally settled on one in west Olathe.  Work for the both of us is going fine.  I got promoted back in September to Assistant Safety Officer for my company.  We hosted Thanksgiving for the first time at the new house and had my family over.  Kasi's dad flew in from Vegas which was great because we have not seen him since the wedding.  We are looking forward to Christmas and the house is all decorated inside.  Kasi's mom is coming to visit during Christmas.  Hopefully I can keep this updated more and maybe convince Kasi to post some stuff as well.

Last Week Being Single!

This is it!  We've finally made it to the week of the wedding!  We can't believe it's finally here!
Everything is pretty much done.  A couple little things here and there, but the nightmares have begun.  Every night for the past three night's, Kasi has been having one nightmare after another about the wedding.  Thank goodness they are only dreams.  :)

After the wedding we will be heading to Hawaii for our honeymoon and we can't wait!  Neither of us have ever been there and we've heard so many wonderful things about it!

Looking forward to seeing everyone and to finally be done with the planning and preparations. 

27 Days!

I can't believe we are on the final countdown!  It has gone by so fast and now I'm mixed on being so happy to be done with planning yet sad to be done as well. 
We only have a few more  details left.  Now it's all the little things to make sure are all in line.

We can't wait to see so many of our friends and family!!

65 Days!

It's getting closer and closer and time seems to be flying!  We have a flower shop confirmed, the napkins and bubbles are ordered, the guest list RSVP's are coming in the mail everyday.  It's so exciting!  We're doing our best to enjoy every minute and remember everything we are feeling!

Just a few more details to pin down and we'll be set. This weekend Kasi will have her first shower and she's absolutely thrilled! It's a wonderful feeling knowing you have friends and family who love you so much!
We are blessed with the most amazing friends and families!

We finally have the rest of the invitations (for those who provided us with addresses) going out in the mail today.  Slight delay between all the groups due to waiting on getting my paycheck!  WOOHOO!  Yay for steady income!  :)

So far we have 17 responses back!  It's so exciting receiving them in the mail, and so quickly!  Thank you for your prompt responses!  It really makes our planning so much easier.

Wedding Invitations

We have sent out about 60 invites so far with 140 to follow this weekend.  Thank you so much to my dear friend and Bridesmaid, Serena for creating this unique invitations for us.  They match the them of our wedding perfectly!

We can't wait to start receiving RSVP's and get an actual count of who will be joining us!  So please get those postcards return quickly.  :D

3 months out!!!

Well acutally we are about 95 day out from the wedding but hey whose counting. As the days keep getting closer more items are getting checked out on the punch list. We have met with the caterer at the Airline History Musuem, Kasi got the flowers picked out, the invitations should be in the mail in about a week and the cake is picked out. If you are flying into Kansas City there are still plenty of rooms still reserved at the hotels that we have picked out. Things are starting to get exciting.

OK so for those of you that have been following Kasi's Facebook over the last couple of days know that we have had a little kink in the works regarding the wedding. The church that we had hoped could not come to an agreement with us using the church. So since I had some downtime on my last rotation I cruised the internet in search of another one from Jacksonville. I sent Kasi the list of churches that I found and she picked one and called them. Today we went and visited the church and liked it better than the first one. So with a deposit we have secured a church clearing the way for the last major obstacle on the wedding planning. I have updated the church information below.
