Kevin and Kasi met by the persistence of one of Kasi's best friend's Amber Heiss.
Kevin met Amber while moving one of his best friend's Scott and Kristy into the home across from Amber and Kris. Amber knew from that first meeting with Kevin that he and Kasi should meet. Kasi was living in Chicago at the time and didn't think anything of the call from Amber advising about this friend she'd made. 10 months went by with Amber getting to know Kevin more and more and persistently bringing up Kasi to him (casually of course
). After 10 months, Kevin finally decided the time was right, he was getting ready to move to Florida for helicopter flying school and figured he had nothing to lose by contacting Kasi. Amber immediately called Kasi to see if it was okay and she also agreed feeling, why not? Kasi decided to just go ahead and email Kevin that night and from there a connection was made. They began emailing nearly everyday which quickly moved into phone calls. For three months they talked on the phone daily into the wee hours. They finally "met" at the Orlando International Airport and the rest was history!
